Communications
Effective communication is crucial for the successful implementation of programs and events at the club level. Communications for clubs include bulletins, newsletters, directories, websites, e-mail list-servs, and phone trees to name a few. NOTRE DAME CLUB OF GETTYSBURG PROJECTS (Projects will be updated for 2010 as they occur.) Newsletter - The club's newsletter is published quarterly. Bulletins are sent to members 2-3 times per month. Past newsletters of the club can be seen in the Newsletter Section of this website. The history of the Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg can be reviewed through these documents. Newsletters Bulletins - Bulletins to members are sent 2-3 times per month. Bulletins include updates on just completed and pending projects, contact information for officers and project leaders, and photos of recent events. Copies of bulletins can be found on the Club Bulletin section of this site. Bulletins Meetings - Board Meetings will take place in 2010 on Saturdays. Members should consult the events calendar to verify the location of the meeting. All meetings except the Annual General Membership Meeting will be held at the Gettysburg Library, corner of Baltimore and High Streets, Gettysburg, PA. The Annual General Membership Meeting will take place on October 9th at the Knights of Columbus at 342 Main Street in McSherrystown, PA. Start time of the meeting will be 2:30pm. All members are asked to attend and the public is invited also. Immediately following this meeting will be the Pittsburgh Game Watch at the same location. The board does not meet in the months of September and November. Members are encouraged to attend board meetings where they can provide input for consideration. If you intend to come please check the event calendar on the website to insure the meeting has not been changed or moved. Meeting Schedule 2010 Website - The club's website is maintained at the University of Notre Dame, while the content is managed by a club webmaster, Jean Conrad. She is always open to new suggestions. Contact her via rockngrma@verizon.net. The website is updated with new material on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis. Check back often for new information! Communications Committee - Dan Lyons has formed a Communications Committee. This group is looking at all aspects of communicating with the general membership and the NDAA. Procedures will be developed and streamlined to insure the word is getting to all members of the club, whether they have email capability or not.
